Terms, Conditions & Code of Conduct

Terms & Conditions

Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern membership of Lion Networking Group (“the Group”).

By joining the Group, members agree to abide by these terms and any policies communicated by the Group’s administrators.

Lion Networking Group reserves the right to amend these terms where necessary to protect the integrity and reputation of the Group.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to business owners and representatives operating within the Seahaven area and surrounding regions.

Membership is granted on the basis of:

  • Professional conduct

  • Alignment with the Group’s ethos

  • Availability within the relevant industry category

Membership approval and continuation is at the discretion of the Group’s administrators.

Industry Lockout Policy

Lion Networking Group operates a strict one member per trade, service, industry or vertical policy.

This ensures:

  • Clear referral pathways

  • Reduced internal competition

  • Stronger business opportunity for members

If a member changes their business model or service offering in a way that conflicts with another existing member, this may result in review or revocation of membership.

Attendance Expectations

Membership is not simply a listing — it is participation.

Members are expected to:

  • Attend events regularly

  • Engage with fellow members

  • Actively contribute to the Group

If a member repeatedly fails to attend or engage, their membership may be reviewed. The Group reserves the right to revoke membership if a place is not being fully utilised so that it may be offered to another business within that vertical.

Referrals & Contribution

Lion Networking Group operates on a reciprocal philosophy similar to a “givers gain” approach.

Members are encouraged to:

  • Use other members where appropriate

  • Provide introductions and referrals

  • Actively support fellow businesses

Members who consistently accept leads or referrals but do not contribute back into the Group may have their membership reviewed.

Conduct at Events

Lion Networking Group meets at The White Lion Hotel, Seaford.

Members must:

  • Respect the venue

  • Respect hotel staff

  • Respect other guests of the pub

  • Respect fellow members

The Group will not tolerate:

  • Inappropriate behaviour

  • Harassment

  • Aggressive conduct

  • Disruptive or unprofessional actions

Membership will be revoked in cases of serious misconduct.

Alcohol Policy

Lion Networking Group adopts a relaxed, Friday lunchtime format, and alcoholic drinks are available as part of the venue setting.

However:

  • Drunken or disorderly behaviour is not accepted

  • Members must remain professional at all times

  • The reputation of the Group and venue must be upheld

Any member behaving inappropriately under the influence of alcohol may have their membership revoked.

Membership Revocation

Membership may be suspended or revoked at the discretion of the Group’s administrators for:

  • Breach of these Terms

  • Failure to attend or participate

  • Conduct damaging to the Group’s reputation

  • Behaviour inappropriate to the venue

  • Failure to uphold professional standards

All decisions regarding membership status are final and made at the discretion of the Group administration.

Code of Ethics & Conduct

  • Represent their services honestly

  • Deliver on commitments made

  • Communicate transparently

  • Operate legally and ethically

Misrepresentation or dishonest behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Encourage constructive dialogue

  • Support positive collaboration

Supporting Fellow Members

Members are encouraged to:

  • Build genuine relationships

  • Offer referrals where appropriate

  • Consider fellow members when sourcing services

This is not a forced referral system, but a relationship-based networking group built on trust and mutual support.

Protecting the Venue & Community

As a Group operating within The White Lion Hotel, members must:

  • Respect the venue and its facilities

  • Maintain appropriate behaviour

  • Ensure the Group remains welcome at the venue

The Group’s long-term success depends on maintaining strong relationships within the local community.

Administrator Discretion

To protect the integrity of Lion Networking Group, all membership decisions — including acceptance, continuation, suspension or revocation — are made at the discretion of the Group’s administrators.

This ensures:

  • Fairness

  • Industry balance

  • Professional standards

  • Long-term sustainability of the Group
